What is Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel is composed of an acid-based solution that is used to improve the appearance of the skin on the face, neck or hands. A chemical solution is applied to the skin that causes it to exfoliate and eventually peel off. The new, regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. The new skin is also temporarily more sensitive to the sun.

What is Jessner Peel?

THE SKIN TX JESSNER PLUS PEEL is a unique professional resurfacing procedure that safely provides controlled exfoliation of damaged skin. A moderate to strong epidermal peel is targeted towards correcting specific skin conditions such as uneven skin tone and texture, aging, acne and hyperpigmentation.

A Jessner is comprised of 14% Lactic acid, 14% Salicylic acid, and 14% Resorcinol.

Lactic acid is a tyrosinase inhibitor and gently exfoliates the top layer of the skin. It stops pigmentation from forming!

Salicylic acid penetrates and dissolves oil and skin debris that causes blackheads and whiteheads.
It’s also an anti inflammatory so it reduces redness from those pesky breakouts or residual scarring.

Resorcinol is a lightening and brightening agent. It has antiseptic qualities and assists in treating acne and other skin conditions.

What is a Vivier Peel?

A Vivier peel is considered a modified Jessner. It contains 10% Lactic acid, 2% Salicylic acid, and 14% Resorcinol. You are still getting the benefits of the ingredients just at a lower percentage. This peel is perfect for those who have a big event coming up that they want to look their best for.
